I first heard about Jayne a few years ago in connection to Marilyn Monroe. Also, I remember seeing her on the cover of
Hollywood Babylon by Kenneth Anger. I always thought she was beautiful, but didn't know much about her until a few months ago.
Anyway, I was flipping through the channels one night and ended up watching the
Arena Blondes documentary. (Not just once, but twice that very night!) I was very intrigued by her life story. I immediately felt drawn to her. I wanted to learn more about this fascinating woman. I knew right away that there was something very special about her.
The next day I ordered the box set and waited impatiently for it to arrive. The first Jayne film I saw was
The Girl Can't Help It and from that point on I was hooked. I have since seen most of her movies (except for 4 or 5) and started to collect vintage magazines featuring Jayne, photos, and other Mansfield-related memorabilia. My interest in her went from mere curiosity to full-blown obsession in a matter of months. I am totally addicted to Jayne! But I wouldn't have it any other way!

She is an inspiration to me. I deeply admire her ambition, confidence, personal strength, and intelligence.
