As we approach the 39th anniversary of Jayne's death, I thought making a thread where we can all express our feelings and emotions about Jayne and her life/death would be a good idea. So use this section as a way of expressing yourself and how you feel as we approach June 29. I'll start...

I just want to write about how I feel about Jayne and how important she has been to me for over half of my life. In my life that has seen its share of darkness, Jayne has always been a constant light. I love you Jayne, always will, and I thank you for all that you have done for me. I won't cry for you on the 29th, rather I'll celebrate you and praise you as I do everyday. I know you're with us all in spirit and you live on in your legacy of films and somehow, I know you're always with me! I live to love you more each day. You are an angel and a goddess and you will never, ever be forgotten!

Hillary that was so beautiful!! I guess it is hard for us to express with words what Jayne has meant to me but here goes! As a small girl growing up in Alabama in the 1950's life didnt have a whole lot to offer. We lived on a Hwy that ran down to Florida.I can remember one day walking to the front of the house and opening the door and looking out.I could see big shiney automobiles zooming down the Hwy.I closed the door. I walked to the back of the house and opened the door and looked out and all that I could see was row after row of corn frying in the hot sun.I closed the door.I had seen pictures in the magazines of this beautiful lady named Jayne Mansfield who lived in California with her handsome husband and her childrens and animals. It told of how she went to lavish parties and lived in a pink mansion. Now I didnt have a clue just where those cars were going to but I did know one thing for sure,I wasnt staying home with the corn!!! I walked back to the front of the house and opened the door.Thank you Jayne Mansfield for showing me how to dream.I have never looked back!!! Ilive to love you more each day!! Pattiicatt

I was only 8 when she died, but I can say one thing. There was sort of a change in the world. It seemed that all the folks who loved her had a solemn tone about themselves. My memory may be exaggerating, but it seemed to me that this affected many people just as profoundly as any other big and well-known personality, like Kennedy. The shock was unbelievable.

Jayne's Location: N40? 51' 44" W75? 14' 24"

I live 17+ miles almost due south of Jayne's grave.

I love to survey Jayne.
